The Objective

The Objective

In January 2023, Poland and Sweden co-hosted the IHF Handball Championship. Knowing that the Polish are passionate handball fans, and given that over 76% of people on Twitter say that the social platform enables them to get closer to a sporting competition via real-time updates, interaction with the athletes and fellow fans and access to behind-the-scenes content, Httpool by Aleph recommended Twitter as the best platform for Superbet’s campaign.

The Solutions

Once matched with attention-grabbing creatives, handball fans couldn’t help but be curious and compelled to engage and visit Superbet’s live betting site.

The Solutions

Engaging polls and promotional posts that highlighted the odds for each team featured heavily in the campaign, inviting audiences to watch the games on Superbet’s website. Branded emojis, website cards and carousels were also used throughout the campaign to boost engagement. Website Optimization Conversions were then added to further improve Superbet’s reach and enhance targeting.

The Results

The Results

The successful campaign not only boosted awareness of Superbet among new audiences, but reiterated its presence among existing customers. Superbet reached over a million consumers, with a click-through rate of 0.21% and an engagement rate of 3.47%. The campaign also earned 47,640 engagements at a low cost of 0.05 EUR per engagement. The creatives that complimented the Website Optimization Conversion further refined the campaign targeting and delivered 8,237 clicks at a cost per click of 0.25 EUR—significantly lower than the industry benchmark of 1.00 EUR.

“The World Handball Championship in Poland and Sweden was the perfect opportunity to introduce the Superbet brand to a wider community of fans. Twitter, as a service that breathes sports, was the obvious choice when it came to a channel that is social and has a high reach. Together with Httpool, we were able to choose a mix of advertising formats that guaranteed broad reach as well as increased visibility of the Superbet brand to Polish fans during the tournament. The successful cooperation enabled us to meet our business objectives.”
